Generations

“I’m often confronted with the question: who am I?

With that question in mind I also think about my mother’s and grandmother’s lives.

When they were in their 20’s they were married and had children.

I live a completely different life- studying, travelling, being on my own.

But as I believe in time in a circular way I am sure those earlier feminine generations also have an effect on me and mine right now.

I’m searching for the influence of the previous generations on my life.“

These are solar plate prints I made 2016 in Japan. Here you see my grandmother, my mother and me in the same age. In Hiroshima I exhibited this work with a lantern-shadow installation .
